are natural skin care products more expensive than other skin care products?
im currently making natural skin care products and make-up for my dt major at school. My need is this:
Make-up used these days are un-healthy for the skin and teenagers are most subject to bad skin as they are still going through puberty. Teenager’s need to be able to have access to natural skin care products and make-up which is affordable for them, as most natural products are very expensive. Natural skin care products and make-up can provide teens with healthier looking skin at a reasonable price.
jus wondering if my need was reasonable? if natural skin care products are normally more expensive than other skin care products which are not natural?

They can be a dollar or two more but they aren’t always. I go to my local health food store and I get really good quality products for only a couple dollars more, and sometimes cheaper. I got a great face moisturizer for 6.99 that is huge and will last forever. My shampoo and conditioner are 6.99 each and free of lauryl/lauryth sulfates, parabans, and are full of great ingredients. My face wash is a bar of natural seaweed soap that is a little over 3 dollars. I use a alcohol free witch hazel based toner with rose oil that is about 8 dollars and also lasts forever. All in all I doubt I spend more than 5 dollars a month more than if I bought questionable name brand products.

Since make up is a want and not a need, then no, strictly speaking it’s not reasonable. There is NO way to justify make up as a need, you won’t die or suffer health problems if you don’t have it, that classifies it as a want. So if the assignment was to produce something for a ‘need’ then you have a problem there.
It’s also unreasonable to say that make up is bad for the skin, most nowadays are noncomeogenic and are formulated to be non toxic. The problem usually lies in the fact that they’re either not washing it off thoroughly at night or they have skin problems for other reasons (like hormonal break outs). There are also tons of cheap ‘natural’ products out there, peppermint or lavender oil or tea tree oil cost about $5 and are great for clearing up the skin. Aspirin also helps (aspirin is just willow bark aka salicylic acid, a common ingredient in most acne products).
