Help !! :D I have acne/combination skin! >< and it’s hard to find make-up that doesn’t cake or anything when i put it on , any ideas? :S I’ve had acne since i was 11 and started wearing make-up when i was 12.. i just wore some powder from nivea and was always worrying about it, i remember in latin i sat at the back of the class and i’d try and secretly put it on. and in class i’d accidently pick a spot and always be asking for a tissue.. yeah.. good memories.. –’ lol. to be honest i would LOVE to be able not to wear make-up and have to bother with it all but i’d look like i just came out of world war three if i didn’t so yeah >< not guna happen, for the moment anyway :( :3
i mostly have a oily T-zone and then the rest of my face is pretty dry and sensitive..
i thought that seeing as my t-zone was where my acne was, i had oily skin so i tryed a ‘oil-free balancing’ foundation from the Body shop but argh!! nope!! lol. it would not blend at all and just stuck on my skin and bought all my pores out and just looked very cakey- big no.
so i tryed the ‘moisture’ foundation from the bodyshop, wich is what i’ve been using until recently-
i do really like it but i find that it tends to come off alot, especially round my nose and goes shiny..
was always having to ‘blotch’ it with those little paper thingys but i ran out pretty quickly :L…
i have tryed a Nivea foundation ‘pure&natural’ but either it was the wrong colour and too heavy..(trouble is live in the countryside in france an most of the shops are quite far away, there is a big supermarket with some makeup but the trouble is you can’t test it to try it out! :( .. i did however find a packet with some ‘mousse’ foundation that was open, so i decided to open the whole thing and test it but it wasn’t right anyway -shh!- (a) haha ) in the end i bought some l’oreal foundation for 15 euros, i haven’t tryed it for a whole school day yet but it seems much better coverage wise :) though it has a brush, i prefer to use a sponge otherwise it doesn’t look right!
so i guess i have dry skin but very sensitive? or combination ? blah xD.
anyone have any ideas for foundations/powders that they think might work? :) xox
or even any skincare products they’d recomend, moisturisers.. anything basically, would be MUCH appreciated !!!! :-)
My routine:
wash my face with warm water and pat it a bit
use 1pump of the clearasil multiaction gel stuff
moisturise ( a garnier one ’24hrs moisturizing care-eliminates the imperfections’ wich i use on my T-zone and then a Nivea shine controle wich i used on my cheeks etc, though sometimes i do prefer to use it all over my face after the garnier one as i find my face looks more ‘evened out’ colour wise..?)
*sometimes* primer from the body shop
a concealer pen from garnier ’2in1 Anti-spots roll-on’
then a concealer wich i put under my eyes
l’orĂ©al foundation
and voila!. if i don’t use a primer then some of my mums powder but she doesn’t really have the same colour or anything so it’s not that good lol!
i have dark brown hair with lighter brown goldyhighlights, quite pale skin, feeew freckles on the top of my cheeks,browny/hazel eyes, and yep.. :)
Is there any make-up for me out there? Lol :) should i ask a doctor/dermatologist (or however you spell that) what make-up is best for my skin? :/! :)x
Out of nowhere, my skin seems to have had a major breakout
I’ve been using the same products for years, alway eating healthily, not under any stress etc, yet all of a sudden my skin has really deteriorated :S I’m guessing it’s hormone related
I was just wondering what would be the best skin care product for me right now? Something to clear my skin up and give me a healthy complexion again? Thanks
How good are the skin care products sold at whole foods and other natural/health food stores? Specifically I’m referring to zia, Men’s Stock, Alba, and Vitamin C. How effective are they? How do they compare to olay and clean and clear products?
My skin has recently broken out quite badly and my blackheads have suddenly gotten worse. The spots are also quite painful and the skin around them is hard like a lump.
I’m 20 and have always had pretty clear skin minus blackheads. I never really got spots apart from the odd ones in my hair line from too much hair product and they always went away quickly once I popped them.
I have had the same skin care routine for three months, my diet hasn’t changed at all and I’m not stressed, if anything in the last 2 months I have been more relaxed since I finished college. I have been using pore strips twice a week to remove my blackheads but they hardly help. I do wear makeup but I remove it well as soon as I come hope as I cleanse twice to remove it all and cleanse my skin. In the last week I have swapped my toner for witch hazel to help get rid of the spots and blackheads which has helped a little. I don’t really want to get proactive as in the UK you have to buy it online and I don’t buy things online, plus it will probably get off my eczema. How to stop my skin from breaking out?
I am a young boy and I have quite oily skin and it can sometimes be a little dry. I have lots of spots, rare blackheads, pimples, zits etc. and I am very fed up. Today I picked up some new products as I don’t think my old products were actually working. Here is the list along with the links

Here is what I know, exfoliate (L’oreal scrub) 2-3 times per week, Sunday and Tuesday
Cleanse every morning and night, after cleansing use a toner, then a moisturiser. Before I go to bed I use Differin Cream for acne. My sister got it prescribed by the doctor for her, she keeps it in her room, so I always forget to ask her for it, so I don’t use it every night. ALSO, I haven’t had a chance to use any of these new products yet as I only bought them today and I still need to finish my old ones off :)
Thanks very much for answers!
what are the best korean skin care products?
can you buy this skin care in Dunedin new zealand yet?
To put it simply, my legs look HORRID. I live in the south, and I get mosquito bites almost daily and they burn like hell. I mostly have scars from them, and I’ve been getting better at preventing them, not scratching at them, etc… but I still have TONS of scars literally all over my legs from them. They are all really dark against my pale skin. I don’t care if it’s a home remedy, something you buy at the store, etc, I just need anything that will help. Any answers are greatly appreciated.
I am a 20 year old male and I am looking into male hygiene products, especially for my face. All of the products and their uses are confusing to me. Could someone please explain the various skin care products, their uses, and possible list some specific products for me to consider?
I’m a teenager and I have mild acne. Of course this can be caused by many things like hormones, bacteria, diet, and not taking care of my skin properly. I need a good facial cleanser and moisturizer that will take this acne away as well as prevent new acne from appearing. I also need to get a good makeup like bare minerals so do you know any stores I can buy it from other than online?
Thanks a bunch.
