My skin has recently broken out quite badly and my blackheads have suddenly gotten worse. The spots are also quite painful and the skin around them is hard like a lump.
I’m 20 and have always had pretty clear skin minus blackheads. I never really got spots apart from the odd ones in my hair line from too much hair product and they always went away quickly once I popped them.
I have had the same skin care routine for three months, my diet hasn’t changed at all and I’m not stressed, if anything in the last 2 months I have been more relaxed since I finished college. I have been using pore strips twice a week to remove my blackheads but they hardly help. I do wear makeup but I remove it well as soon as I come hope as I cleanse twice to remove it all and cleanse my skin. In the last week I have swapped my toner for witch hazel to help get rid of the spots and blackheads which has helped a little. I don’t really want to get proactive as in the UK you have to buy it online and I don’t buy things online, plus it will probably get off my eczema. How to stop my skin from breaking out?

I have combination skin (very oily forehead, sometimes dry cheeks) and quite a few blackheads and spots.

First– Drinking plenty of water, eating healthily, taking vitamins and regular exercise.
Also first doing a 3 day detox.

Morning:
Wash: Hot water, flannel and light soap or cleansing face wash?
Rinse: Cold water to close pores.
Cleanse: Natural cleanser for oily skin.
Tone: Spray on toner.
Moisturize: (mostly on cheeks, light on forehead?)

Wipe off makeup when home.
Night: Just wash face and moisturize? If so, wash with what?
Or: Cleanse, tone and moisturize again?

Once a week: Exfoliate, steam treatment to open pores, mud mask, lemon juice to reduce acne scars, oat & honey homemade face mask.

Does this sound good? Is there anything I should be doing more or less of? I want to keep it as natural as possible. I’m going to buy a ton of crap from The Body Shop. Any other home remedies? I use sudocrem/toothpaste for spots if I’m desperate. Also, can sun-cream be used to substitute moisturizer? If not, should I apply it before or after moisturizer? If this doesn’t work I’ll go to a dermatologist. Thanks again!

Coming home: just clean my face with water
Nights: Clean my face with spectro (acne gel) and nice gentle cream and maybe a dark eye circle cream (i have really bad dark eye circles)

once a month: wax

I’m getting a decent skin care to get good skin.

I was going to buy the Clinique Mild Soap and Toner, with the Superdefense, is this a bad investment, will it ruin my skin?
I either hear that its wonderful or dreadful, you tell me.

I have combonation skin, oily in the T-zone, dry everywhere else.
Some blackheads, some milia[yick]. and general uneveness.

Okay, so ive really not been taking care of my skin lately (as in the past week), and its just completely horrible right now, it’s dull and i can see a couple blackheads, and its just awful. well i have this event i need to go to tonight, so i need to know if you guys know any good quick ways to clear my skin, i know nothing is magic or anything, just something to tame it, and i’ll start taking care of it like normal again tomorrow. I don’t have any time to go out and buy a product so please dont suggest any, but the products i have here are facial foaming wash, peel off masks, daily scrub, apricot exfoliating scrub, and moisturizer of course…i am desperate right now, so any help will be insanely appreciated!

I have a combination of ioly and dry skin. I get dry skin around my mouth after every time i wash my face with anything even with just plain water. When i use a moisterizer it breaks me out or dries my skin even more. And my skin gets oily more into the day on my forehead, nose, chin and my cheeks a little bit. Also, i have been getting small whiteheads and blackheads around my nose area and cheeks.

I need a way to make my blemishes go away without drying out my skin.

I just recently started useing neutrogena blackhead eliminator scrub and it’s been working a little bit but it still makes my skin dry around my mouth.

I think ima switch to an egg white pore strip every day for my blackheads and the egg yolk wash as a moisterizer, would this work better? but this still made me dry around my mouth.

I just read about a lemon juice, honey, and sugar exfoliating scrub too. Should i use this every day or once a week?

any other suggestions?

Any kind of store bought moisterizer makes me break out so i need some home remedies please.

Hello, I don’t have super oily skin, but a few breakouts now and then and quite a few blackheads in the nose area. I’m just wondering what I can do to take care of it? What can I buy for a regular routine? Like brands and types? Thanks!

Okay, I think my skin care routine needs a makeover! I have oily skin with some acne pretty much all over my face & blackheads on my nose. I can’t use Neutrogena because I’m somehow allergic to it. & it needs to be pretty cheap. I have used all Clean & Clear for most of my teen years & would like to continue to do so, I just don’t know which products to use!

Here’s what I currently use…

In the Morning – Clean & Clear Morning Burst Detoxifying Cleanser, Clean & Clear Soft Day Moisturizer (SPF 15), *sometimes, if I need it* Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10

During the day- sometimes if my skin gets really oily, to the point where I can’t stand it, I’ll use the oil absorbing sheets.

At Night – Same Cleanser, Soft Night Moisturizer, Blackhead cleansing Pads on just my nose, & again *sometimes, if I need it* the Persa-Gel 10.

I also use the C&C Soft In-Shower Facial 2-3 times a week.

I am pretty consistent with this routine. I do wear a little makeup (Loreal mineral foundation, eyeliner, mascara, & lip gloss)

You can go here for more info on each product if you want to…

SO am I doing too much or do I just need a change in products? Or am I doing a good job & just need to stick with it?

I have been thinking about trying Proactive skin care products. My biggest problem is blackheads and combination skin. (oily in T-zone dry elsewhere) I haven’t heard whether this will work for my problems or not. Other than the blackheads my skin is pretty clear. I usually get a few spots right before/during my period though. Is it worth trying or is there a better option?
