I recently bought some new products. One is micro-dermabrasion pads and the other is a night time moisturizer. They are the only changes to my usual routines. Regardless of the cause, I woke up to a rash like break out only on my chin & at my hairline. They are tiny raised bumps. While some look like tiny pimples most are just raised bumps. I stopped use of both products. How can I treat and heal these areas quickly?
Hello i am a 16 year old and my skin is driving me mad at the moment, i just cant find the right skin care product. i have quite a lot of black heads and get spots quite often and also the product i use really dries my skin. i was wondering if any one could give me some advice on what is the best product to buy and that does not make my skin really dry. if the dry skin can’t be helped with any product you can buy, could some one also give me advice on which moisturizer to buy.
Thanks :)
I’m 18 and have been fortunate enough to have very clear skin my entire life so far. I rarely break out, never had acne, and have been complimented many times for my skin.
But I think that skin, whether clear or prone to breaking out, should still be taken care of very well.
I recently bought Clinique’s 3 Step Daily face care. I’ve been using its Moisturizer for years and it’s great. Then I bought the toner and cleanser just yesterday.
I have combination/oily skin (cheeks are fine, oily T-zone, pimples usually come up on nose or forehead).
What my question is really, should I use all these products on my face? I’ve gotten great results from using the moisturizer alone but I worry that using all these products might be 1) just spending money unwisely, 2) too harsh for my skin that is already doing pretty well on its own, and 3) possibly cause more breakouts and such if I use toner and it causes more oil production due to stripping of oils or etc.
Possibly this question isn’t even something that can be answered without actually examining my skin but I’m asking in general terms.
Hi, I just won a competition and got these new skin care products ;)
I got;
A mild face wash
Refreshing facial scrub
Light cream moisturizer
and a spot treatment thing that you roll on your spots
The products are for teenage skin (they’re quite high-end products).
So usually I just use facial wash in the morning and a night… But it’s not really helping as my skin is breaking out.
I was wondering if I should use the facial scrub to exfoliate my skin before I use the facial wash or after?
How can I make a skin care routine from my new products and how should I use them and which order too?
I am going to buy toner tomorrow. How often should I use it… And should I use it before I moisturize?
Thanks
My skin was breaking out with my previous facial wash not the new one…
I’m looking for

I know when you use a facial scrub you should also use a cleanser, but won’t the combination of the two over dry your face?
I have combination skin and only use a cleanser + moisturizer. I wanted to try adding a scrub to my routine because cleansing isn’t doing it for my acne (mostly blackheads and occasional pimples).
I use my cleanser in the shower and when i get out of the shower my face is very dry. Through out the day I have to keep applying moisturizer. I’ve realized that when I wash my face using sink water my face isn’t as dry, so it could just be the shower water. I’m not sure if it’s just the weather, but my usually oily t-zone has been dry and flaky while the rest of my skin is semi-dry to normal. Perhaps when spring is over summer will make my face like a glazed donut, then I’ll be wishing for the dryness. Ugh, my skin is so frustrating.
Should I still use my skin products for combination skin or try using products for dry skin?
Will products for dry skin contribute to my blackheads and pimples?
When using a scrub should you avoid pimples?
Toners – Are all toners/Astringents created equal? Do they all work the same way? I bought Witch Hazel a while ago, because I read somewhere It’s good for blackheads, but haven’t used it in fear of the alcohol content. Will the toner add to the dryness when combined with a scrub and cleanser?
Are mud masks, clay masks, microdermabrasions, etc. considered to be like scrubs and should not be used in combination with each other?
Microdermabrasion or acne-scrub? Which one will work best on acne (blackheads)?
I have really oily skin an i have been looking for a good moisturizer/lotion with spf in to use day and night.
I have tried lots of low end and high end brands of skin care… i have bought a lot and tried a lot of samples and this is the first one that i have liked i have not tried it long term because i only got the sample but after 3 days of using it i really liked it on my skin.
So my question is…. is Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant SPF 15 Lotion worth buying, has anyone had long term experience with it and and what are your opinions?
I have combination skin (very oily forehead, sometimes dry cheeks) and quite a few blackheads and spots.
First– Drinking plenty of water, eating healthily, taking vitamins and regular exercise.
Also first doing a 3 day detox.
Morning:
Wash: Hot water, flannel and light soap or cleansing face wash?
Rinse: Cold water to close pores.
Cleanse: Natural cleanser for oily skin.
Tone: Spray on toner.
Moisturize: (mostly on cheeks, light on forehead?)
Wipe off makeup when home.
Night: Just wash face and moisturize? If so, wash with what?
Or: Cleanse, tone and moisturize again?
Once a week: Exfoliate, steam treatment to open pores, mud mask, lemon juice to reduce acne scars, oat & honey homemade face mask.
Does this sound good? Is there anything I should be doing more or less of? I want to keep it as natural as possible. I’m going to buy a ton of crap from The Body Shop. Any other home remedies? I use sudocrem/toothpaste for spots if I’m desperate. Also, can sun-cream be used to substitute moisturizer? If not, should I apply it before or after moisturizer? If this doesn’t work I’ll go to a dermatologist. Thanks again!
Firstly, I’m not trying to be racist or anything, it’s just that my whole body is alot lighter than my face, and I want to lighten my face to match my body color! I HAVE to go outisde alot, since I have to travel from one class to another…So could you recommend a good, safe sunscreen, face wash, and moisturizer that will help make my face lighter?? Thanks!
