Hello so I am 19 years old and I am going to beauty school (either Aveda Institute, or Gene Juarez Academy, I am going in either September or December of this year). I have NEVER been a chain smoker nor a huge drinker. I like to drink every once in a while, I recently started smoking cigarettes, artificial pot, and hookah but I just quit and I feel alive, energized, and great!!!!! I always try to use all natural, chemical and paraben free products (soap, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, makeup, chapstick, sunscreen, body wash, deoderant, perfume, face wash, face masks, etc.) I found out that sun does a lot of damage to your skin about 2-4 years ago and started wearing a lot of sunscreen regularly. Where I live it is cloudy and rainy almost everyday. I basically stopped wearing sunscreen and stopped taking care of my skin the way I should. I want to have young, beautiful, youthful skin forever. In my opinion when I am not wearing makeup I look about 14-16 years old and I am 19!!!! I just need to know the best skin care routines, and the best ALL NATURAL PARABEN AND CHEMICAL FREE products! (When I buy my skin care stuff at the drugstore I try to get: Burts Bees, Aveeno, and Neutrogena.) And which comes first face lotion or sunscreen? How often to apply sunscreen, etc. I just need a lot of good information. Because I want to look like I am 20 when I am 35, thank you so much!!!!!
I’ve finally weaned myself off sugar completely, after connecting the dots (no pun intended), and realizing I had hypoglycemic acne. My daily diet is made up of mostly fruits and leafy vegetables and broccoli now, with some almonds, a very small amount of organic yogurt, a very small amount of salmon, and either brown rice and plain oatmeal, and green tea occasionally. I take a ballet class 3-4 times a week, and feel very, very good, and very energetic and balanced. I’m left with the ravages of nearly 19 years of cystic acne on my face, neck, and chest, though, and am wondering what I can do- now that I’ve addressed what I can of the underlying cause- about my somewhat oily, pockmarked skin. I’m currently using Clinique face wash for Oily Skin, and am finishing up a tube of Neutrogena’s Anti-Wrinkle moisturizer (which I won’t be buying again). I don’t want to get involved in a massive "project" with revitalizing my skin, just a few really, really good products that actually have long-term results in clarifying scarred skin, and preventing some wrinkle formation. I’m not expecting my scars to "disappear", or to push off aging indefinitely (I’m 28), and am not looking at surgery or skin resurfacing as options. I’m not made of money, but I will pay for a really good product that works. The only caveat is that it can’t be tested on animals, and is preferably vegan (ie, it has the flying bunny logo on it). That pretty much leaves anything on the Sephora website as a viable option, and I’d really appreciate any ideas-
Thank you in advance.
I drink at least 60 ounces of water a day, sometimes more.
Birth control did help with my acne, but I had to stop taking it because of nausea (and everything made me nauseous).
So heres the deal…I have fair, sensitive skin that is combination- it is oily around my chin, forehead, and nose, but also it can get a bit dry on my nose and forehead. I tend to break out mostly on my forehead, nose and chin and sometimes right next to my nose on my cheeks. I have bad black heads on my nose also :( I would really like to fix these problems, but I do not know how to decide which skin care products to use.
My typical routine is: washing my face (in the morning and at night) with Olay, Boscia, or whatever face wash I have at the time. I know that it is better to have a set plan and use the same products, but i can’t decide! If I have a really bad breakout, I sometimes will use PersaGel 10 but i don’t like it very much bc it is harsh on my skin and i sometimes react with red burning flush. (oh and also I tend to pick at my skin if I have a bad breakout which i know it makes it worse and I am getting better at not doing it)
My mom recently offered to buy me a skin care system, but I am decided what to do…I am considering a few different brands: Proactiv, Aveeno, and Skin ID by neutrogena. I am afraid Proactiv will be harsh and dry out my skin. With Aveeno- I don’t know much about but would like to know more and if it works well. Skin ID seems like a brilliant idea bc its personalized, but it is expensive so i want to make sure that i know about if it works. Please give me some advice on what works, your personal experiences, etc. Thanks!
These are some products I am wondering about and maybe want to buy. Have you ever tried them and do they work? I have oily skin on my nose and blackheads on my nose and some other little pimples on other parts of my face. do u think they will work for me?
Biore pore strips
Biore warming anti-blackhead cream
Biore self heating mask
Neutrogena blackhead eliminating daily scrub
Clean and clear blackhead clearing scrub
clean and clear continueous control acne cleanser
clean and clear duel action moisturiser
so have any of these worked for u? thanks :)
I’ve asked what the best cheap skin care products are and most ppl have said neutrogena is the best. So im thinking about buying neutrogena on the spot treatment and neutrogena oil free acne wash grapefruit or whatever. But im just wondering if i get these products in what order should i use them in. I think i would wash my face with regular soap, then use neutrogena on the spot, and then the oil free grapefruit stuff. Thats what i think i would do but i could be wrong so can anyone give me a review on these products and tell me what order to use them in pleaseeee….ps im a dude
So I’m 13 (girl) and I’m new to this skin care stuff. My mom has been telling me to take care of my face because I’ve been breaking out! My mom bought me this St. Ives Apricot Scrub, and i read on the back that it can irritate the skin if i use it everyday. Sooo my cousin suggested using a cleanser everyday and the scrub every other day. And I’m fine with that but I don’t know which cleanser to get for my face (my face isnt all that oily, but i use the clean and clear oil sheets everyday and i have been breaking out lately) I saw that my cousin has been using the neutrogena grapfruit cleanser and I dont know if thats good. THEN my aunt told me to use toners and moisturizers as well and doing and having all this stuff is REALLLY confusing me. Okay let me sum it all up :
I need:
Cleanser
Toner
Moisturizers
Oh and Im also on a budget so i need something that is affordable but not bad quality (if you know what i mean) also i dont know in what order i should use these stuff too
Thanks for your help and sorry about this being long :)
In your own opinion, or from what you might have heard from family or friends, which skin care products work best? (More specifically, which one has the best facial cleansers?) Nivea, Olay, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, etc. Not necessarily an acne regimen, just a regular facial cleanser. Thanks in advance!
I’m wondering what are some great skin care product for men. First off though, I’m in my late 20′s and only get acne every so often, so I’m not interested in products for the teenage set like Neutrogena or Clearasil. I do have acne scars from my puberty days and also have pretty large pores so any tips on what to buy and how to use them would be great.
Thanks in advance!
or which is better:
clean & clear
clearasil
neutrogena
proactive
* i have black skin thats oily*
